Situation/Challenge
BGE took over the site in December 2015; the site is 34MW but was performing badly with multiple issues, such as 288 string boxes that needed to be replaced, regular inverter failures and large sections of the park disconnected.
BGE Solution
BGE deployed a team of engineers to work through the site inspecting, testing and repairing all issues.
Outcome
Within 3 months, BGE engineers recovered the production back to 99% availability and reconnected 1.5MW of faulty or disconnected strings, resulting in a jump of PR to 96%. The park has consistently produced above expectations since the intervention.
