Situation/Challenge
The CCTV on the 12MW site had not been operating at its full capacity and was showing signs of degradation due to the age of the site. Half of CCTV cameras were not functioning properly, impacting the ability to monitor the site.
BGE Solution
BGE engineers went to each CCTV post to determine its physical characteristics, power, and logistical connectivity. Based on the results, the full site was scanned, and new NVRs were supplied and installed, which resolved the connectivity problem. The system was then validated a walk test both during the day and night and analytics were adjusted as required.
Outcome
After final tests, the site CCTV system was deemed fully operational and functioning.
